Our Mission1
To educate, motivate and demonstrate to our students, the philosophy that there is no problem which cannot be solved,
no obstacle so great that it cannot be overcome if you approach it with confidence, intelligence, persistence and
a positive mental attitude.
History
Founded and operated by Master Farid Dordar (World Champion) and
Sensei Ingrid Dordar (North American Champion), Champions Martial Arts Academy
has been serving students in North Vancouver since 1986.
Champions Academy provide safe and family-oriented training in Kickboxing,
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Self Defense for student of all ages.
Champions' success has been based on service to students with complete dedication to their achievement.
With over 600 students, and a team of more than 15 Instructors personally trained by the Dordars, and
Sensei Blake Lirette, Champions Academy is by far, the most dynamic and
award winning martial arts school in Canada.
Champions Martial Arts Academy has won numerous awards throughout the years: Best School in Canada (EFC) 2000,
Reader's Choice Award (North Shore News) 2003, Readers Choice Award (Outlook) 2005, and have appeared in numerous
television programs including Children's Hospital Telethon, BCTV sports, Variety Telethon of Hearts and BCTV
Breakfast Show.
The school curriculum is cutting edge and is constantly reviewed by
Master Instructor Farid Dordar and Head
Instructors Sensei Ingrid Dordar and Sensei Blake Lirette. The Sport Kickboxing ™ style is a complete martial
arts style that puts emphasis on personal growth through the education of the physical beauty of the martial arts.
SKF ™ caters to the individual searching for personal mental and physical enrichment and to the competitor of all ages.
