Master Farid Dordar - World Champion in Kickboxing, Co-Owner and Master Instructor of Champions Martial Arts Academy. in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Master Dordar started training in martial arts at the age of 12 in his native home of Iran. In Iran he gained much fame and popularity as an incredible martial artist being compared to Bruce Lee. With an electronics backgrounds he kept up his passion of the martial arts by helping to train the Iranian National Army and being a member of the Iranian National Karate Team. Having the opportunity to compete world wide Master Dordar set his sights on Canada as his new home and in 1987 his wish was granted. Shortly after arriving in Vancouver, Master Dordars' impressive fighting skills help him gain one title after another in the Kickboxing arena.

Master Dordar has an amazing fighting record receiving numerous awards and Kickboxing titles ranging from Canadian Kickboxing Champion (1988), North American Kickboxing Champion (1988),and World Shootboxing Champion, Tokyo, Japan (1988) to World Free Style Champion (WKA - 1993). Never losing sight of Martial Arts, Master Dordar continued instructing at various recreation centres while making plans to open Champions Martial Arts Academy ™ in 1992, one of the largest and most successful schools in North America today. During this time, Master Dordar also co-founded Sport Kickboxing Federation ™, a comprehensive system, developed to provide excitement in learning and instructing for all levels of Martial Arts, and fundamental rules for competition.

Master Dordar also had a passion for film making and graduated from the Vancouver Film School and began producing short films and instructional Martial Arts videos, including Sport Kickboxing Federation's ™ "12 Steps to Success". He is a standing member of Actra and the British Columbia Performers Union, and over the past ten years, has acted and performed stunts in various shows; the X-files, The Outer Limits, Black Stallion, Lighting Force and in films such as Chuck Norris's Hit Man. His commercial credits include: Tonka Toys and Nerf Toys.

Today, with over 24 years experience as an instructor and martial artist, named "Best All Around Martial Artist of the Year" (WKA - 1994), and a World title, Master Dordar shows no signs of slowing down as he enters the millennium. With a passion for bringing out the best in others, Master Dordar is an active instructor at Champions Academy. "I love teaching Martial Arts; instructing is the most satisfying job I could have ever asked for, especially when I see results in students who continually make a positive impact in their family and community" says Master Dordar.

Master Dordar personally trains all instructors at Champions Martial Arts Academy as well as run his successful Championsway ™ Enterprise, a software company that caters to Martial Arts School helping them run a successful business using the latest in technology advancements.
